The REPAIR process: After reading scroll down to the bottom to download the repair form.

Please read through the questions below before submitting your repair form.

1) DO YOU REQUIRE RMA NUMBERS?

        a. No. Please read through these questions and then scroll down to download the repair form.

2) HOW DO I SEND MY INSTRUMENTS IN FOR REPAIR?

        a. Instruments must be sterilized. Unsterilized instruments will be returned unrepaired.
        b. Ship UPS, FED EX or USPS insured. Use a $85.00 per item average for insurance.
        c. Please email the repair department with the tracking number of the package you are sending.


3) WHERE DO I SEND?

        a. send sterilized instruments and the repair form to:
                George Tiemann & Co.
                25 Plant Ave
                Hauppauge NY 11788
                Attn: Repair Department
        b. Please include an email address and a phone number. Some of our repairs are done during the night time hours. Orders without emails may be delayed.

4) HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DO A REPAIR
        a. Standard turnaround time is 5-10 business days.

5) IS THERE A RUSH SERVICE?
        a. Yes, there are two types of Rush Service.
                i. Overnight. means that it will ship within 24 hours with an Overnight return service. There is a $2.00 per item surcharge and there is a $80-$100 overnight freight charge.
                ii. Less than 5 days, there is $1.00 surcharge per item. Depending on when you require them back the freight charge can be between $15-$100.
                    The deciding factor is the date indicated as the “Need BY”.
                    We will ship using the appropriate method to have it back in your office by the specified date. Additional Charges will apply.

                iii. Tungsten Carbide Needle Holders cannot be done through the RUSH service process due to the time it takes to replace the jaws.
                iv. If you have a specific date you would like the items returned by please indicate that on the repair form. Note that additional charges may apply.

6) I HAVE OVER 25 INSTRUMENTS NEEDING REPAIR, CAN I GET RUSH SERVICE
        a. In most cases yes, however, please email repairs@georgetiemann.com letting us know how many instruments are being sent and when they are needed back.
        b. Please speak to a repair representative to make an appointment at (631) 273-0005 (option 2)

7) DO YOU REPAIR INSTRUMENTS OF ANOTHER MANUFACTURER’S?

        a. Yes

8) DO YOU HAVE A PRICE LIST FOR REPAIR?

        a. We have a price guide. Depending on the level of repair required additional charges may apply.
        b. Return freight will be added to your invoice. The return freight charge is between $15-$25 ground shipping depending on the number of instruments.
        c. Your returned package will be fully insured for replacement value.

9) HOW CAN I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY REPAIR?
        a. Please email repairs@georgetiemann.com with your customer code, email, name & phone number and we will reply.
        b. You can also call us at (631) 273-0005 (option 2).

10) WHAT IF MY INSTRUMENT IS BEYOND REPAIR?
        a. Instruments deemed beyond repair will be returned.
        b. If you permit us to replace them there is a 10% discount on all replaced items.

11) ANY QUESTIONS NOT ANSWERED ABOVE
        a. Please email repairs@georgetiemann.com or call the repair department at (631) 273-0005 (option 2)
 

We must be able to contact you by email. Orders without an email will be delayed.

A copy of the form MUST be sent in with the repairs. If one is not sent this will delay the processing.
